To facilitate a wide range of leisure opportunities and social service programs that promote lifelong learning, challenge, fellowship and personal growth.

To create opportunities for older adults to participate in, and take ownership of the design and development of the service and be advocates for seniors’ services in general.

To create an environment where those involved experience and express: self-worth, achievement, acceptance of others, teamwork, tolerance, and understanding.

To foster volunteerism and work with volunteers in the Burnaby community.

To ensure equal access for all older adults to the services provided.

To work collaboratively as a team, with staff, volunteers, and participants.

To present to the larger society a positive image of the older adult and to encourage interaction of citizens of all ages such as family oriented programs.

To work within the policies established and administered by the City of Burnaby.
